This is the first installment of a video series that I'm entitling "Self Portraits." I've thought a lot about my art and journey as an artist since recently turning 30 and I wanted to create a series of improvisations that made some kind of "musical photograph" of my current voice as an artist and percussionist.

Brain Animation - Sound Design

This is a collaboration with my wife Hannah who is a brilliant designer and animator. This animation is actually fairly old (2009), but I have just always enjoyed this one and wanted to compose some music behind it. In my sound design for this piece I tend to lean towards a more simplistic approach. I wanted the music to give the viewer a sense of wonder and curiosity along with a meditative and peaceful feeling to it. Hope you like what you hear!
